So I am not allowed to have two accounts and enchant my own character for example with my other toon? To be 100% sure.

Wrong,

It's using a third party program to play simultaneously multiple characters

@SanderP : You're allowed to to that

The quoted definition comes from Wikipédia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-boxing).
And Grungie is right, your are allowed to do that SanderP.
multiple separate characters simultaneously

When you use a first account to enchant a second account, there is no "simultaneous" action. It is not categorized as multiboxing, and it will be allowed on Nostalrius Begins.

Multi account: yes (except specific cases precised on the term of use, for example PvP abuses, ...).
Multiboxing: no

Simply having more accounts doesn't mean you're using them to break the game. What shouldn't be allowed is players cloning their controls to control more than 1 at a time. Players did this on retail and Blizzard never did anything about it because they liked that cloned 15$/month check. I used to see multiboxers soloing 5vs5 arena.

On other servers, I've seen players rig the BG system by queuing both factions at the same time. The one they wanted to play then had an unfair number advantage. You don't even need a program to do this. You just have a max level character on both sides, queue up the BG, accept both, then it's instantly 10x9 or whatever. The one you want to play is much more likely to win the match. If you queue up more deadweights for the other side, you can rig it even more. With 4 accounts and a little alt tabbing grease, you can turn a 15x15 AB into 15x12. Your character on the 15 side is basically guaranteed to win every match unless your team is unimaginably bad.

So sounds like even alt leveling with a main is fine? That's cool and all I wanted to know, I don't have a clue either about multiboxing, my "multibox" is alt tab -> follow macro / enchant / trade -> alt tab. Thank you for answering clearly.

Well, multiboxing is simply the act of playing more than 1 character at a time, even if it's just to trade or chat to the other faction. But what they seem to mean is using programs to cheat it. If you're alt tab spamming them, that's not within their violation, from what I gather. You're still only controlling ONE at a time. But multibox cheaters use a program to clone their controls to every game window, thus controlling entire groups at one time. THIS is what should not be allowed. We don't seem to share the same definition here, but as long as the cheaters aren't allowed, it's fine.

Would this setup be allowed as each char action demands a keypress?

No, because theoretically, you can spam an infinite number of spells (accounts) simultaneously, while still controlling your MAIN character from the main wow window.

i don't even see how this debate is still going on. People don't like to see you clowns running around in groups. it kills morale, it kills the experience. the only reason bizzard allowed it was because people were paying multiple subscriptions.

Multiboxing refers to a program that allow you to control multiple characters simulaneously, in this setup a keypress only do something on one character, not multiple.
