completely agree with Linc

people are just overreacting with this (hell this ogtucker guy spammed both /worls and /global few days ago
for hours and hours with macros and behaved the way most ppl from server would never support him in anything. how many votes u have? less then 1/4 of horde population. you just spam forums now in hope that ull catch moderators attention. chill the fuck out, its private channel, they always existed and were never moderated by gms... if you dont like it, leave it, make a
new one. hell u even want it to be completely banned now
how come that me and 99% of users never had any problems in /world?

You must not play very often, and where is this "99%" coming from?

Half the time you try to join /World on Alliance, it has a password so you can't even use it, and from what I hear about Horde, a certain guild bans everyone from it when they have moderation privileges.

use /world as LFG and im sure you want have any problems

use ot for trolling/flaming and you could be banned

im not a fan of a guild controling such a big and and important channel, and i hear quite a few peoples complaining, but as i said, if u use it just for grouping/trade you wont have any problems

alliance i cant comment

That's contrary to what I've seen and heard on Horde side. Whomever is moderating Horde side usually just bans spammers and occasionally trolls or hate spouters or whatever.

When I've been on, World has basically just been people looking for groups, selling stuff, and conversation. Of course the content of the conversations is sometimes nerds talking politics or religion or something, and there's the occasional comment about them uppity jews or negroes ruining the world but that's par for the course.

I've yet to see anything to constitute all the end of days doomsayers spouting about how 'toxic' everyone is (or whatever word the nerds are using these days (when did everyone start saying toxic anyways. Whats wrong with calling them a bunch of assholes (are people so PC these days that they are afraid of offending a bunch of internet racists and bullies? What happened to your balls? (Also, lol at cyberbullying)))). But then again, I haven't played all that much so take this with a grain of salt.

I have mixed feelings about this. I'm sick of the stupid threads about /world and I don't understand why so many people feel like they need a special world channel, but if the majority of the server is going to adopt it as the primary channel for trade and lfg (which seems to be the case) then it should have proper GM moderation.

I'd rather there was no world channel at all but that's probably not realistic.

As of noon US Central on March 17th, 2015.

1. Yes, GM's should control moderation.
368 votes (49%)

2. Neither, there should be NO moderation.
150 votes (20%)

3. Nor, there should be only /say timers (one /world say per 15 seconds)
119 votes (16%)

4. No, Player's should control moderation.
109 votes (15%)

746 total votes - Only 250 more to go!

Once they do something players ask, custom changes start coming... Summon Stones? Limited 10g Talent Reset? ... If you want a Kronos server... Please don't ruine this one.

Then allow multiboxing as they did in retail.

No mutliboxing is a custom change. Where is your faux-outrage on this?

Also, as others have pointed out, there are MANY THINGS NOT BLIZZLIKE HERE.

Your argument is so devoid of any critical thought that I'm going to stop entertaining your notions.

Please vote and spread the word.

On the topic of in depth things and their "blizzlike" retention, I do believe Warden wasn't this updated back in 1.12.1 because exploits weren't made/found as much as there is now. I think we should disable some anti-cheat measures because it isn't blizzlike either.

The results of my poll completely refute this statement.

THIS. If you want to logically consistent on 'Blizzlike" reasoning as justification please be able to apply your reasoning beyond the /world issue.

HINT : You'll quickly grow tired of finding all the things that are not 'blizzlike". Please find a more valid argument if you insist on posting here, Linc.
