You can also skew a poll by making one category favoring your view and multiple similar opposing categories to split the opposing vote.

Plus there is always the psychobabble stuff that is supposedly proven but no one believes in or thinks they would fall for like structuring the opposition's point to appear more confusing or in a negative light, putting the favored choice on top, using negative and positive wording, phrasing, blah, blah, all that garbage that plays to subconscious impulses.
(Totally scientifically accurate example is different colors elicit different emotional responses from calming to anger (If you believe that (It's prolly witchcraft)))

But those are totally easy to discredit cause choices and "do i look like I have a degree in psychology?" tinfoil hat etc.

In any case. It's still 478 for and 452 against.

Of course I split the vote, why would I not? Its an effective strategy.

Also, there is 86 percent for a change from current policy. Nobody else but Nost decides what change if any is needed. So its actually 86 percent AGAINST current policy.

Come on. You're suppose to deny it or something. "Giving players their choices and blah blah blah."

What's this "[o]f course I split the vote" crap?

P.S. 518 for and 508 against.

P.P.S. I just voted a second time for whatever side I voted for so there's that.

Creator split the opposing votes and whatnot. Common tactic. You're still winning so what do you care?

It's voting. My dead grandmother once voted for a state senator (she was dead at the time in case that wasn't apparent).

There are all kinds of tactics n' shit they use for that. If the vote had been "GMs moderating against Some other shit" it would be 508 vs 518, but the vote creator was clever enough to slpit his opposition. What do you care? You're still winning.

ok you cant be srs at this point
86% of the voters voted against anything but current system,
for me any of the other 3 options work, ya know the ones that got 86%. also the GM option got like over 50%
and i care because what your sayin is just plane wrong

51 ish% voted for GM moderation. The rest of the votes, 49 ish%, voted for three different choices that are basically the same choice. A common tactic that is used to skew votes in the favor of whoever is creating the polls, which in most cases is used if the person creating the poll has no hope of winning. In this case said person is winning so it doesn't really matter unless said person needs a majority vote.

Still a good tactic since we don't know if Nos is taking number or majority into consideration, but we do know that we know he or she is doing it so there's that. In any case what do you care because it's still 526 for and 513 against.

Yes.. I noticed the wording in the poll and I would NOT be surprised if people voted for something they didn't meant to. Shady...

There is absolutely no point in having this channel moderated by anything else than players, aside from having GMs lose their time.

What may be wrong however is the fact that the same few players end up being the owners a bit too often, namely Strreamix and I happen to own it quite often, because the player owning the channel after a crash most often has no idea what to do with it and gets bombarded by whispers telling him to turn off announcements and stuff, and it's usually the same few players who step up to relieve that poor bastard of something he didn't want in the first place.

People don't seem to realize how unofficial world is. Lots of people thought I was a GM, but world is mostly a cesspool, and it shouldn't be used for either trade, LFG or Guild announcing.

I can't speak for the other people who've been owning it but I've been trying to keep the guild announcements to short messages and banning people for repeated spam so that everyone can get his little message out there. Some people have been finding owners abusive but, seriously, this is world, you can't expect anything from it.
