Obviously it is, because players who don't mind the current system aren't wasting their time and effort voting in your poll. Only people who care (naturally, people who are annoyed with the current system) are even voting at all.

Your poll does not represent the people's opinion. Chat channels in WoW work with player moderation. You have a problem? Build a time machine and take it up with 2004 Blizzard.

This is a red herring. You are suggesting that there is a LARGE margin of error, so large that it isn't feasible. I guess you never learned statistics too good from that teachin' lady, did yah? What you are suggesting isn't even within the realm of reason.

Even if the margin of error was greater than FIFTY PERCENT, player moderation is STILL the least favored.

Unless you get GM input, polls will always amount to being thrown in the trash. Come back and make a poll when a GM states that he/she will put it up for server moderation rather than letting the players moderate it. Otherwise just stop talking about this endless shit. You're fighting nothing and won't get shit out of this if you don't ask the staff personally if they will even consider the idea of putting it as a server channel to be ran by the GMs. If they say no and keep it as a private channel, all you have to do is shut the fuck up.

I'm going to ignore the vitriol contained in your post and go ahead correcting this gaggle of assumptions on your part. Assumptions are quite a bad habit, I'm afraid.

To my understanding, Nostalrius admin is operating under the impression that majority of players support the current policy. I have set out to disprove this.

If there is enough movement away from the current mentality, we could affect real change. Those for the current policy consistenly show themselves to be toxic, using insults and twisted logic to justify the behavior and current state of /world. If we continue to be persistent, calm, and logical on this subject, we will get somewhere.

Add this entire quote to the OP so we know that this is actually an effective poll rather than another person complaining like Ogtucker has done and has taken in his hands. If you noted that there is some hope in the GMs taking charge, then I wouldn't say "shut the fuck up" honestly.

Honestly, you should not behave like this to begin with. You're justifying bad behavior, which is something we teach children to not do. Be part of the proud tradition and stop acting like that.

<GM>Kraft merely suggested this as my only avenue of discourse that is viable, and I do not want to get him involved more than he is already. I have no idea his personal opinion, status as a GM, or anything outside our personal conversations. For example, I have not been able to get back in touch with him this afternoon. As a GM he is limited in what he can say and I wish to not involve him more in order to keep him at a safe distance from this issue unless he decides otherwise, on his own accord or as an official of Nost.

I'm also waiting for a staff posting here, if it continues to be a traffic'd thread and hot topic, that will eventually happen.

It's a private chat channel, of course it's player moderated. That's how the game works.

Retail vanilla WoW did not have a public global "world" channel.

You could make one retail and guess what the player is the moderator of the channel.
Only people upset over this are the ones getting banned off the channel for spamming or flaming.


All these posts on the forums over a player created channel is just ridiculous if you don't like it leave world.
