A lot of us did play on retail. But getting us all together on retail on the same server at the same time at the start of an expansion just never really worked out for us.

Well not only do they maybe prefer doing vanilla content, but retail is a lot different to nostalrius. World first competition, preparation and experience required is far above that of these raids. While there is a different kind of difficulty in vanilla vs today's retail, raids from MoP and Wod are so much harder than vanilla raids that you can't even really compare them. The amount of effort required to do split runs these days and committing to raiding for 12+ hours a day over 2 weeks just doesn't make it feasible for most guilds. Retail's competitive raiding scene just requires a lot more effort and min maxing, and of course you have to pay^^

Because they will be nowhere near the top.

I doubt they could create their own tactics for new bosses, instead they will just feel like champs playing 24/7 on a private server killing bosses they have already done multiple times over 10 years.

Because they will be nowhere near the top.

I doubt they could create their own tactics for new bosses, instead they will just feel like champs playing 24/7 on a private server killing bosses they have already done multiple times over 10 years.

It comes down to a couple reasons, chiefly being that the core of GRIZZLY is too big for us all to raid together on retail servers (our core is much bigger than 25).

Also, we have been active in the private server community for 4+ years, and as such have developed rivalries with other guilds that we enjoy(ed) competing against them.

But if you want to tell yourself that we are actually shitty at the game to make yourself feel better (since you probably won't get more than Gehennas/Baron/Shazz), go right ahead my little pubbie :)
