Really, just read all the Announcement threads and FAQ... A lot of people come here asking the same questions over and over, when they're already all answered or talked about on the FAQ or under the Announcements section. It's not like anyone here is posting any hidden information. We know what the devs post. That is all.
Pre-buff PvP Items
PvP Weapons
Factions, Reputations & Rewards
MC Talisman / Bindings
Of course there's a ton of other content that was buffed later in WoW's timline, and a lot of them already have their own threads here, or are currently even discussed.
In fact here is a recent thread discussion regarding the Scholomance Items & loot tables, which were among, A TON of content & items that got changed and buffed through the many patches of Vanilla WoW.
And as you can already see, Viper responded with this.
Now I have already voiced my opinion on this subject, and I still encourage anyone who wants a true blizzlike experience, and is passionate to achieve so, to help out the community. Maybe you know something others might not. And if it's wrong, you will for sure get corrected on these forums, I have many times been corrected myself. But the information could very well be of help.
I don't think it's coincidence that the devs had few mentions concerning the pre-buffed statistics of PvP items and weapons, until after the members of these forums (mainly Askental) compiled up the original WoW page source and found the stats in the web.archived code. Here's a link to those threads:

It's obvious the devs were influenced by the feedback and with all the data being there and proof of, there's no reason not to act on it. And they did.
