Nostalrius or Kronos

I try to remain neutral as much as I can, as I will try both servers once they come out and then decide for myself.

Kronos was pulling ahead for me for a long while, until we all realized that only Chero is doing most, if not all, of the work there. Like Balsh said, he is young and going trough college, there is a world of opportunities ahead of him. A lot of things can happen ending in a project coming to a halt, with no one to finish the job. For the last two months, almost nothing was done as he was pulled away. While on the other hand, Viper and co. are like bees, tirelessly buzzing around, poking at people any chance they get. Most people like that, so do I, and that was what brought me here.

Basically, the most important now is who releases first and in what condition, as they will garner most, if not all the attention. If satisfied with the amount of quality, people will stay there.

Aside from all the rest, what leaves me away of Kronos is their total lack of communication. Corecraft is the same example. They post an update on their blog every two months. While here, we can see Viper posting updates very often. And I really appreciate that. Nostalrius is like my news blog I check every day

Except CC's dev are daily available for a chat on IRC.
Also, they have twitter channels...

Please, when you don't know things....refrain to post bullshits.

I really like corecraft so I have nothing bad to say about them per se, but he has a point.
A IRC chat doesn't mean anything to the normal user, twitter would be the way to go.
But it seems like their twitter hasn't been updated since 2013...

The fact that I make that comment means I do not perceive it as good communication. I don't need to know anything, whatever information reaches me are the things I'm aware of. I often check out their home-page and ook at the "a better estimation" thread. I also do that with other projects. And for me, they communicate BAD!

What really makes this server stand out for me, is how much the staff values the community including the community itself, how rational it is, atleast to a degree, so on so forth. I've been on Feenix for 2.5 years now, and it simply shows how good a server can become, no matter the scripting, just because of the community (not to ignore the fact that most of their servers are a few steps from death).

Corruption and quick short-term solutions are something that trives on most private servers, not to mention devs who touch code they dont know their way around, it's rather easy to spot what servers are the most affected, and which hardly have shown any signs for such incompetence, just yet

Then, why IRC shouldn't be a good way of communication when it's done daily and LIVE?
If you are an eight years old that cannot even figure out how to join an IRC channel it's not CC's devs fault...just yours.
So, an IRC channel doesn't mean anything TO YOU and seems like you are not a "normal user".
In fact you cannot expect to find "information" about a project if you don't look for these information.
Really, if you couldn't even figure out they are using twitter to post news, why even comment about "how bad" they are....next time, when you are so misinformed, better keep your mouth shut.

For sure, I will not ever join "facebook" to have news about something...

Spreading false informations, like you just did, is a very rude (not to mention plain stupid) thing to do. Refrain doing that in the future, please.

I feel offended here. It seems like you cannot have a normal discussion without using aggressive words. Why can't you have a normal discussion when someone has a different opinion as you. I respect your opinion and I would like to discuss the topic here with you and the other people. But clearly you don't respect others people opinion.
