Are the starting zones always this crowded?

New player, and I'm surprised at how busy the 1-10 zones are. Is this always the case or is there some special occasion that I'm unaware of that's causing this?

It was always the case, some months ago we couldn't quest efficiently in the starting zone due to the number of players and were better off grinding mobs instead.

Yes, low level zones are always crowded.

Kill quests aren't too hard, but any quest that involves looting an item from a clickable object? Hope you're ready to camp the object and spam click it as soon as it spawns. GG Vanilla quest mechanics.

This server is heavily populated. It's somewhat annoying early, more tolerable around 10-20, and then you start seeing 60s ganking when you get into the 20+ zones. Dunno higher than that.
