"of the Fang" 2 piece set-bonus

The "of the Fang" 2 piece set-bonus is "increases damage done by nature spells and effects by up to 7." However, I have noticed on my hunter that the set bonus does not alter the damage of serpent sting at all. Is this correct or is this a bug?

that is correct? serpent sting does not scale with SP, only Arcane shot does, on this server.
Did Volley ever scaled aswell btw? There's no info about that one.

Because Rogue poisons count as spells, IIRC.

At least, in BC, they were boosted by +spell damage gear. (leading to some very interesting builds that involved stacking spellpower gear on a rogue )

same gone to the Warrior bloodthirst in some early BC as healing done scaled with it aswell. Well nevertheless, it does not work for hunter that was the question.
