Can Blizz shutdown the servers at any moment notice?

Just wondering if it is likely for Blizzard to ever shut down this server.
I know Nostalrius has been getting more attention and population lately. Is it possible Blizz has noticed it?

No doubt Blizzard knows about most private servers, do they care enough to shut them down? No. If they did care could they shut them down (given most are not even located in the United States)? Still no.
Basically the only ones who will take down this server are Nostalrius themselves either by lack of activity (not for a long foreseeable future) or if they have some internal conflict (Google "what happened to Molten WoW").

Actually, they try to shut down every server they can. They shut down The Rebirth several times, both with direct legal action and later by threatening the cloud hosting services they were using. In the U.S., they can harass most servers till they fold.
Nost is hosted in the EU, with different legal interpretations and some protections against frivolous lawsuits, and so generally speaking servers in France, Czech Republic, etc. are not vulnerable to Blizz's legal tactics. That might change, but for now it's safe to play on any server hosted in the EU.

Not outside the US. Hell, earlier this year a German court decided in favor of the Honorbuddy company over Blizzard.
Any server outside the US can only be the victim of its own administration.

Until Blizzard starts opening Legacy realms they need to fuck off with lawsuits involving servers that contain content Blizzard no longer offers.

Blizzard would need to go through the french legal courts and then convince them the police should raid and take down the servers. It actually costs blizz a lot of money, and if they fail the suit its a lot of wasted money.
If nost suddenly started doing microtransactions like name and faction changes, it would be a lot easier for blizz to go after them legally.

As long as Nostalrius doesn't make a shit load of money, ie having an insane donator system where you can buy items or anything corrupt like that. Cause then you're essentially profiting off Blizzard's work.
I think the donation system they have in place is fine right now because they still need to run the servers, but I don't think it's enough for Blizzard to actually have a worthwhile incentive to take them down. Also, the outside NA jurisdiction is also probably a hassle, and definitely a calculated choice for many private servers to withstand Blizzard sanctions.
Plus, private servers aren't in the millions of users. What're we talking at most, 50,000-100,000 daily users amongst all private server users? That's trivial to a triple A game production game like Blizzard/Activision.

Pretty much. Thankfully, Daemon and Viper are adamant about having absolutely zero P2W on this server. They're not even doing Path of Exile style "ethical" MTX.

They could make millions from donations w/o Blizz able to do anything.. Know why? Cuz its a donation, heck you dont even have to pay tax for it.
Donations =/= making money of someone else product
