Posted: Mon Oct 26, 2015 6:04 pmThe Ahn'Qiraj War Effort starting is a bug associated with turning in a specific quest in Silithus that players just recently discovered. The crashes are coming from the event NPCs trying to call items from the database that don't exist yet because we're not in patch 1.9.
Players have taken this opportunity to turn the quest in to force the server to crash in order to abuse the respawning of resource nodes. Players have already received bans and we will continue to ban players who have intentionally abused the system to the detriment of the community.
We've removed the event call from the database, removed the bugged quest that is starting the AQ war effort and removed the NPC that the quest was being turned in to.

Posted: Mon Oct 26, 2015 6:13 pmMakes total sense to me to ban people who crashed the server on purpose. Nano do you have any input on if herbing/mining during these resets will result in punishment if you have no connection to the people crashing the server?
