Auction House Sorting Problems

Hello Nostalrius!
I have been having problems sorting the auction house by Time Left. The first few months I started on this server it worked fine, I would sort by Time Left, it would sort all the auctions on the AH and I could sort through 5-6 pages of short 8 pages of medium, long, etc. Since two days ago the sorting has not been functioning like this. I sort by time left, hit search, and I get back a page with 2-3 short auctions, a medium, a long, and the rest of the page is very long, (not exactly these numbers just an example.) Basically it seems as though the auctions are being sorted PER page instead of sorting them all.
Does anyone else have insight or experience with this problem? Perhaps it's an addon issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

This is exactly what is going on. AH results are paginated and clicking any sort button will sort only the page you're currently viewing.
Maybe it is a bug, but it could also be an intentional design to help reduce database overhead.
This is not an addon issue. I have noticed the same behavior on characters with no addons enabled.

Funny, I've only remembered the auction house as sorting per page... until I got an addon to make it much better.
I haven't been able to find a good auctioneer addon for Vanilla though. Hopefully someone could point one out.

You mentioned that it may be an addon issue; that would be my first guess. Disable all addons and see if that fixes it, then, one by one, turn them back on until you figure out the culprit. I've not had this issue, and, that includes characters that don't use addons.

I've disabled all addons, no luck so far and I know a few people are experiencing this same issue, wonder what it could be.

Are you using an auction addon? If not, pick up Aux. It's the perfect AH addon. Works flawlessly tbh.

If it works with Auctioneer, that would be grand. I don't want to lose a few months of price data, and I certainly don't want to sort though 17000 auctions trying to find the ones that will end within 30 minutes! Auctioneer is good for certain things, but not really finding quick ending auctions, as the scan itself takes about 30 mins so you lose out on a lot of potential buys.

Aux is good because it scans per item and doesn't take long, maybe 5-10 seconds for first time scan of an item. Aux automatically undercuts the item for you and I'm pretty sure you can sort by time.

Yeah my only issue with Aux is that it doesn't gather historical price data, so undercutting is fine, but not when the actual value of said item isn't accurately represented by it's current price on the AH.

It does now since it's received a new independent UI.
However, you far overestimate the value of
Vanilla Auctioneer's historical data. It's actually very limited and for active markets will mostly be completely overwritten by a single scan. Those "months of price data" are pretty much worthless. Aux will probably eventually get some historical data collection more akin to retail Auctioneer's.
