The sad part
Today my 6 month suspension for botting on World of Warcraft was lifted, now why would this be a sad thing?
I only had one level 100, full HC gear (before the ban) and about 120,000 gold on that one character. And then I had about five level 90's on another server that I used to play on, and about 25k gold that I made completely by the book. I wasn't really planning on playing WoD again, but I was gona try Legion, atleast give it a chance, you know, I had some gold saved up and I wasn't planning on botting again since I got my as kicked by Blizzard.
But then I see this: In addition to the suspension, we removed all gold, honor points, and conquest points associated with the account.
And yes, ALL my gold, on ALL my characters.
Gold isn't really a big deal, I know, but It's the fact that more than half of that gold I worked my a** of with professions and that dumb garrison to get. I also know that a lot of people don't support botting, and I understand completely, at least on this server.
But I know that most people agree that farming and leveling in WoD really doesn't feel like you gain anything from it, it's so stale and boring. Sometimes you even feel like you skipped a few levels because its so easy, right?
The happy part
I have been playing this game for 8 years straight. I love to raid, and I love the lore. First raid I ever cleared was ICC when I was 14, and damn I was so happy when that bastard died. Sure my guild was 80% Arabs who barely spoke English and it wasn't on Heroic, but damn I had so much fun.
The best geared I've ever been in 8 years was in MoP on my Arcane mage with almost full heroic gear. Sure it was fun to kill Siegecrafter Blackfuse after about 100 tries, and yeah it was pretty funny to be able to burst 1,300,000 DPS on pull with BL / Heroism.
But on Nostalrius.... I have been playing here for a few weeks now but damn, I have not laughed this much in a long time while playing WoW. I started crying of laughter when me and my friend ran around in Westfall, both level 10 - 11 and I realized that we had been running around for 3 hours and have completed 2 quests! Haha
Sure, I might only be level 34, I haven't experienced the raids yet, but I'm excited to do, even if it takes several days played to get to 60. I like the fact that quests are actually really hard. And that I can invite other nearby players for help without it being weird.
I really want to experience the Vanilla WoW that's so "legendary" (if I may call it that). Not having a DPS race with the other players, instead just communicate and work on tactics the right way, like it's suppose to be!
It might seem like I started this thread to trashtalk Blizzard, but really, I just enjoy this server, ALOT. Aslong as this server is here, I'll probably never return to retail. I might try on Legion, but I'm not a fan of the new Demon Hunters, as it's a pretty damn rare class in the Lore. And the legendary weapons.... I believe it just speaks for itself.
This server will always be number #1 in my book of MMO's. I love WoW, and Nostalrius is my savior. Without you, would be lost.
