Thebrother, if you actually read the message, you would have seen that the addon in itself is not considered botting. If you combine it with something else that keeps a character online, then you will be banned for it.

The top guilds also don't shower.

That is your decision. Shower/sleep or world boss loot.

Great consistency as always!

And let's not forget the 2 ban appeals from 2 of the scouts who were banned for botting, one of them even admitted to multiboxing before editing all of his posts.

Can we stop beating around the bush and get an official statement on which rules we play by, and why the only punishment recieved was bans on lvl1 chars (lol).
Instead of these mixed messages and brushing it off by labelling it as "Conspiracy theories" when this clearly is more than just baseless theories?

I appreciate the work being put in, but all of this tippy toeing around the subject is shady, especially when you consider the fact that one of the guilds have at least one GM in their guild.

So the Addon they're using does not keep the character online itself, and they would have to manually move once every 5-10 mins? Which you are then implying they are with your first announcement?

That private message from Daemon is all the way back from November 9th, last year. It was discussing the initial issue of lvl 1 characters in Azshara, some of which were bots and got banned as the two appeals you linked to confirm. Daemon also confirmed that botting and multiboxing do get their usual punishments.

We have reviewed this addon in question and, just like Tyrael said in the initial post, it in itself is not illegal. I do not see any lack of consistency here.

Yes, exactly as I said before. I am not implying anything more or less.

If you suspect a character of being multiboxed and/or botted, please let us know so we can investigate further.

First statement clearly says the addon isn't allowed.
Second statement say it is allowed.
How is that not a lack of consistency? No official statement was made on this change of policies after multiple players got caught redhanded.

And what stops someone from botting and multiboxing WITH that addon, when the only saction being applied is a ban on the lvl1 char? It's literally only 2 minutes lost.
