Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

so completed the long chain quest in stormwind with a full group of 5 , and went to turn in the final quest part to see i get a green version of the ring - 2sta 6 spirit, meanwhile other groupmates are getting the blue versions. whats going on with the quest ?

Proof? Not that I'm saying you're lying but can the ones receiving the blue version post an image or you take a screenshot of them. I want to see this, because I vendored my shitty green >O

problem is, whenever i click the link of their rings it just comes back as my lame green version

It's a difference in WDB between clients. Nostalrius is using pre 1.4 item database so if you're coming from other servers or using a client with a WDB used to 1.12.1 clients, then it can cause issues with the WDB of Nostalrius, which is different, especially on the item side of things.

Delete your WDB contents and relog. That should fix visual issues with wrong stat items / versions. What you're seeing is the old vanilla retail version of the ring, which was back then only a green item, and indeed pretty crap. You're seeing the right ring with the right stats, your party members however are not. They probably did not delete their WDB before playing on Nostalrius this they're having visual differences on some thigns such as item stats.

If they actually put on their ring, they'd see how only their spirit and stamina increased, corresponding with what stats you see on it.

Before anyone says necropost, this is still a relevant question. It's hard to figure out if the ring should be green or its blue version right now.

Pretty sure it's somewhere around the AQ patch that lots of green items got upgraded to blues, and a few crafted whites got upgraded to green. (like the Enchanting wands)

Though honestly, even the blue version of the ring isn't that much better than most rings. Defias Renegade Ring is almost as good for melee, and you can have two of them equipped as well.

The ring won't actually get upgraded until patch 1.9. We are on patch 1.6, so your green uncommon version is correct. They need to delete their WDB like you did so it updates.
