I'm currently leveling a tank with some friends but Id like to start an alt for when they are offline.

So I guess my question is, which is the best class to play solo?

Lock imo. Doesn't have to feed pet and it won't lose happiness, losing damage.

you rarely feed a pet once it reaches rank 6 loyalty, so while it does take up an extra bag spot for food for the pet, it's not a huge downside.

It's really close between hunter and warlock, so whichever fits your play style the best.

Druids are easy to find groups with as you can take on all roles in almost all low-level dugeons while leveling. Not so great for solo leveling tho.

If you wanna level whatever just for the fun of it, i'd go with hunter.

" hunter is best solo class or class ge ne r al y (f or me of c) , but by no means easiest"

Ha. Hunters have never been regarded as a difficult class. Many in TBC and Vanilla regarded them as the easiest actually.

Great solo class. Great everything class. Same with warlocks.

Druid leveling is solid because we have very little downtime assuming you're leveling as Feral. You can kill a few mobs, shift out and heal to full, then shift back. By the time you have to heal yourself again, you've regen'ed most or all of your mana so you rarely have to drink. Ferals have an advantage because they're the only class that uses different resources for DPS and healing.

While we don't kill mobs as fast as Rogues or Mages, we make up for it by never having to stop to eat/drink/bandage, so it evens out. I actually prefer it because I'd rather not have to drink for 30 seconds after every 3-4 mobs.
