Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Started playing nost when it was fairly new, made a lock and got to level 27 then lost interest in the class.
What would you recommend to either tanking, or healing? Was thinking of making a prot paladin but from what i remember in vanilla they weren't viable for raiding. Any thoughts on Prot paladin tanking?

You will never tank (or dps) as a paladin simply because warriors are better in vanilla. Not in raids at least. Tanks are more needed for both factions.

Tankadins is by far better dungeon tanks (my opinion) than warriors but not viable raidtanks in Vanilla.

Tankadins have the superior AOE tanking, which is nice for dungeons, but when you need precision tanking with taunting, and long drawn out fights (raids) Warrior are superior
