Just to ask are meles suppose to dmg onixya during phase 2 when onyxia is flying. Because looking at this http://www.twitch.tv/keelven/b/641389429 fight starts at 25:15 you can see meles dpsing onyxia the hole phase 2 and they were able to get her down to Phase 3 with no death breath (I can say her main spell) and this is possible at the first or second kill with green geared ppl WTF. There is some huge problems here even the movement of the boss is so bugged.I know this game is 11 years old and players are better (mage lock so hard spam 1 spell) but this is gear fight you need gear to get the spell dmg so you can kill her fast.Pressing buttons harder wont make you deal more dmg you need spell dmg and spell dmg comes from gear.Dont know how casters with max 200-250 spell dmg (consumables included) low spell hit and spell crit can kill her so fast with no mele help.I am not saying Nope are explioters i know some of them they are all cool guys this is server problem and things like this need to be fixed before even considering opening the server (If this is considered a bug ofc but i think meles shoud not be possible to hit her at phase 2).

You should be able to melee Onyxia in p2.

I don't know if Onyxia is properly deflecting attacks, and that could be significant. Onyxia is the nerfed version atm.

I killed Ony on retail pre-bc countless times, and it's safe to say that melee should never under any circumstance be able to hit Onyxia during phase 2. The reason is that she's just too far away. Maybe if you are lucky and jump at the right spot while she's at the right spot, you can land a melee hit. But that's rare.

Melee white hits shouldn't hit her, yellow ones do.

Rends on an 8 debuff slot server, great idea.

I always played casters in retail vanilla so even though I must killed her about 50 times pre tbc I actually can;t remember if melee could hit in phase 2.

I know melee can hit on all OTHER private servers I have ever played on.

In the second stage of the Onyxia fight, she takes flight. Normal melee auto-attacks cannot reach her. Special melee attacks (rogues ambush, sinister strike, eviscerate...) can reach her.
