Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I'm not sure if this is the right section but hey..
When i try to pick pocket the guy for the human rogue level 10 quest his inventory is empty. However some guy said he did it the other day and it worked.. Would killing him drop the item? Is it bugged or is it just me thats getting an empty loot when pickpocketing?

You need to kill him to reset his pocket loot.

And you can the item by killing him too if you're talking about the human quest.

Killing doesn't seem to work on the night elf one.

Just got some help killing him and he dropped the item.
Edz once he/she has been killed do you try pickpocketing then?

Since im a night elf is it possible for me to switch and do the human quest?

Yes Kimon, you just have to get it in either Stormwind or whatever the human equivalent is to the place you picked the NE one up at.
