Any ideas why this addon causes severe FPS loss during raiding?

if you're using modraid i imagine its that — i've noticed similar issues in that section of BWL, the client really chugs when a large number of auras are being applied to raid members. I'm working to mitigate that + any other issues that might cause that kind of locking up. its affecting my raids too.

apologies for the slow replies, job has kept me from too much more work on this recently. here we go though:

1 question though; Is it possible to add class colors to the names in chat? Like Prat has?

Keep up the good work!

this isn't planned for now, cheers

Plasm wrote:How do you lest say instal it.I downloaded the zip files but what to i do with them after i uzip them it didn't find them as an addon at all. What im not doint right ?

make sure you rename the unpackaged folder from "modui-master" to "modui" in your addons directory before booting your client up

frozted wrote:Question....

Ive had to turn on the Name Plats addon encorrporatd with this addon.. and switth to Customnameplats Addon mainly cause This UI doe not track Debuffs, for Frostmage.. i would like to see Frostbolt slow, Frreezee, Fire DOT, etc etc

Why cant i see thhse thingss?? Also, whens thiss new feature that tracks mages mana / eeating water?

Can you implement a Mage Specific part for that , and to show th Stacks of Winters Chill thats on th targt>

Pls get back to me

i've tried to keep the nameplates relatively clean for now, there will be some specific aura tracking on nameplates in future — but no blanket debuff tracker. the icon "tracking water" mentioned previously is actually a soul shard count, i just used conjured water to test it because I'm lazy and didn't want to make a warlock.

winters chill stacks show on target frames already, i have no plans to show a second display for them currently. cheers

looking into this. do you have any other mods installed that interact with the bag or bank UI? and weird specific question — but what resolution do you play wow at? the error is being caused when the bag tries to figure out if it should scale down when a large # are shown.

The only problem I have is with the chat. Not sure why but when using the modui chat, item links dont show auctioneer info. Not really a huge issue since I can just turn off the modui chat but still something to look into.

this is probably due to the re-formatting of item links, the addon will look for those brackets that have been stripped off. you could try enabling them again in modui options > display > toggle [brackets].

I'm guessing, the chinese client(?) uses a different global to save class colors rather than RAID_CLASS_COLORS

weird, yeah — looks to be the issue. i'll try and find the regional equivalent to fix that.

raidframes have gone a significant overhaul in design again for the upcoming new version — there's far too many gremlins and shitty design issues with using the pullout frames like i was, they just weren't designed for it, so i'm now creating new ones on the fly instead:

Image

they are much MUCH lighter than the pullout frames, and benefit from easy options for resizing/scaling based on your raid role. (as an aside: you can also see the boss frame at work properly here, and new outgoing damage + healing tracking in combat text)

auras can be toggled to display as icons beside the frame:

Image

and units with debuffs that can be dispelled will have a nice obvious border colour change. look, luooli has a curse!

Image

again, to reiterate — this is a preview. plz don't spam me in-game yet asking why your raidframes don't look like this yet ;)

I'm usually a "mix and match addons" kinda guy but the way this is going I'm seriously tempted to switch to it with upcoming version :D
