Forgot account info.

Played back at the PvP server launch, kept burning out, eventually stopped playing.

Getting the itch again now, but I can't remember my info. None of my normal Account Name/Pass combos are working. I could be compromised I guess, but I think I might have just forgotten it.

I -think- I remember what my account was, but every time I try and log in with that it just says disconnected from server. Is that the go to "your account was banned" message? Or are the servers just down right now?

You can see your account-name in your accounts folder on your computer in the wow WTF folder. You can also see if you have some old email saved/archived from Nostalrius with account name inside.

You could try and reset your password. That way you know 100% sure if you have the correct username/email/password combo or not.

Sadly, this computer went through a reformat, otherwise account name wouldn't be an issue.

It's odd, I've checked all three of my main email addresses. None of them bring up anything when I search Nostalrius. I -never- delete emails, so I have no idea what could have happened. I obviously should have a verification email or something.

None of my standard throwaway account names are working in password reset for any of my email addresses.

It's like my account never existed, even though I know it did.

Honestly, the account itself isn't a big deal. If it got hacked/deleted, I was going to restart anyway. I think I had 5-10g tops across all my characters, and it's not the biggest deal. I just want to know what happened to it. I had an Orc Warrior named Rugh, I played with the Goon Guild Blood and Tsundere, etc etc. I'm hoping someone can go digging to see if that account is still active, so I can maybe figure out what my account info was and get it back.

Ok. Did a few tests.

Made a few new accounts on all my emails, because I assumed you could only have one email per account, and it'd help me find out which email I started my first account with. Nope, turns out you can make as many accounts as you want. I did however figure out through this that all my standard Account Names but one were still open.

That Account Name plus any password I throw in brings me to "Disconnected", unlike the others, which pop up "Hey that isn't correct.". I'm assuming the account was banned in my absence. Considering I never did anything banworthy when I played ( I never shared info, I never bought gold/levels, etc ), I'm guessing my account was also stolen.

Could a stolen account have changed both the email and password in my absence? That'd explain why none of my emails match with this Account Name anymore.

For the support team, could you check on the account with Rugh on it. When I last played, I was doing the quests near Theramore in the Barrens, so probably about level 15 or so. I had a variety of other characters as well, but I don't remember any names/levels. I was in Blood and Tsundere on Horde ( though they probably kicked me out for inactivity ), and uh, I forget the goon guild on Alliance, but I know it exploded anyway. Could you confirm/deny if that account has been active recently, and whether or not it's a banned account?

I know you can't give out Account Names, and I don't want you to. Instead, could you send an email to the email attached to that account so I know what the email is, and unban it if possible? I have a feeling the problem here is that I'm trying to log back into a banned account.

The account is not banned and was logged into recently. I assume you remembered your password?
