Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

My account has been banned permanently. I made it today and leveled up a human priest normally. Her name's Mamrie and she's on the PVP realm.

I got disconnected right after i typed "LF a guild" in trade chat. Did i violate any rules?


Is there any way my account can be opened again? Or can I at least get an explanation on why it got banned so that I can avoid it happening again?

You probably got banned by the spam detection, which is quite sensitive at low levels.
The best is actually to avoid chatting until you are level 10-15. Annoying, but unfortunately necessary :-s

Ok I figured that was the cause.

The name of my character is Mamrie.

You didn't violate any rules. There is a very strict anti spam filter in place for low level characters in an effort to lower the amount of gold seller spam. Unfortunately it catches a lot of new low level players in false positives. Just give the staff some time and they will have you up and running again. It kinda stinks, but it's a necessary evil at this point.

It's no biggie! I just think it's great that there is a system like that in-game.


Do you have any idea how long time it will take? I had a blast and would love to get back in-game

Regarding the antispam system we have, it managed to reduce drastically the number of websites able advertise on Nostalrius.
We still have false positive alerts, and are working on a better system.
