I'm not going to be mad or anything else, begging to unban account.

Nevertheless, you should review your "here is your ban" system. Putting effort in something you really enjoy, playing with friends, doing plain econimics such as resells,speculate,taking some loans, transferring items between factions like a badass pirate and suddenly taking a ban for somehow triggering/being suspicious to your system is indeed really dismoraling you by the end.
The server is really on top of the hill, the place to run around with your friends and tearing apart from memories
So it's pretty a shame to leave. Maybe some day we would login back, but just now i won't be able to redo all i did with the same effort, nor my friend can, going mad at me cause of getting a loan and eventually losing all too.
But atleast hes account is alive hehe
So the last words are: For God's sake, review/optimize/do smth with your system.
First and foremost, you ban goldfamers/botters to ensure your players have best experience, not vice versa. The farmers, who are trying to make commercial profit won't stop after the ban and "feel free to create new account and respect our rules", cause it's a work for him, tho an average player will.

You got banned for buying and you think that sellers should get caught.

I agree, but I disagree that buyers should go free. Gold trafficking requires 2 people, not one. Both people should be permanently banned.

since i was making a new topic and thought it would fit here , ill dont spam and reply here.

so, a friend of mine and me was just making a little LAN party at his house, means 1 internet connection, 2 computer, 2 nos accounts.
one day he received a permanent ban and asked here why. the reason was gold trafficking.

since i was sitting near him from friday to monday last week i can swear he never sold or bought gold / or even was using a hack / a bot / whatever is against the rules.

he leveled his mage from 1-26, maybe got some bags, an enchanter wand etc. some nice stuff to have to level
i cant remember but i think he was sitting on maybe 5g? i would have send him some money at 40 for the mount but yet i didnt send any !

some days after , today, i read the gms reviewed the case and it was confirmed and the account will stay permabanned.

inbetween he has a 2nd account with almost a char the same level so i dont cry at all for unbanning it. my reason to post this is the false alarm of banning people. if i get banned with my lvl 60 char which has farmed so many stuff. I WOULD BE MAD AND CRYING FOR UNBAN because he did nothing wrong and i really hope he dont quit the server because of the reason he got a permaban for no reason at all.

You got me wrong. I said that banning an account of a goldseller is like a drop in an ocean. Hell, you don't even need to pay to create account here. Set 100 more bots and you are done. In this case toon would be leveled again and gold farmed from scratch. As for gold buyers you are right too, but that is a second queue, because eventually there will be less people who will have balls to have a gold BUT the gold would cost much less for the same reason meaning the loopy loop and returning players back to their dealers . And for no mean i said you need to set free gold buyer, again i said that you need to be super sure to know who exaclty you are banning.

I believe there are a lot of bans for botting, especially chineese guys got reported a alot. The reason i think this is thats the loop. Online of about 13k people, you can't quest, you are made to go grind, and there is no communication between chineese people and english speaking guys, so eventually that poor grinding dude will got a lot of reports, and when gm comes to check this guy, he won't be able to respone too fast cause he was making a tea and ran into a mount with numlock pressed. And vice versa, the bot wont be reported as ppl would this it is just another one non communicative chineese guy(ofc its exaggerated and look like a dumb
justification, tho even situations like this could be happen and taken in count)

As i stated in my first message i'm not saying whoever nostalrius should ban or not, i just said that the way the chose is far from being efficiently. The simple example is that now i'm leaving (not trying to say i mean smth big for server/commynity) and my buddy made to leave with me (However i'm sure he'll calm down and got back)
Nevertheless i realise that its pretty hard to drive a community of so much people and you are no way without any semi automatic systems. All i said is that it should be optimized.

Here is an example of huge hole of this system nostalrius currently have: lets say you got huge load of gold (it could be from a friend to motivate you play/guildies to loan you or helping getting mats for legendaries or you just bought it) on this moment you aren't getting banned, as gms are not wizards to see why the hell you got it. After that you triggering that anti gold buying system somehow (mailing several mails with gold, trading to your 1st level friends, or whatever it works). Now you are banned. You log in into forums, asking for apealing, and yet review of a case showing that someone indeed gave you gold. On this point it won't even matter who gave gold to you. It just happened. So according to review of case ,indeed, you received gold "from nowhere" meaning you didnt traded something priceful enough for it in game. The case is now closed, you are free to create new account.

By the way i logged on a second procces of wow just to run on my mount in starting zone and trade few gold to our new characters, as there is no mailbox lawl. That was the latest transaction i did, so seems pretty much the same, we are in same boat.
I just hope that whole system would be reworked, cause that server worth it, the greatest experience since wotlk so far.


And by the way, can somebody give a clear answer of what players supposed to do before trade? Making a ticket? Cause people got answered in threads that it is not against rules to donate to a friend/guild/brother/mom, however actually it is.
