I'am happy to have carried you and your realm, mate.

I will be surprised if there isn't world PvP. It just wont be as random as it would be on the PvP server. Waaay back when I played on Lightbringer server in Retail Vanilla wow... the alliance always had a raid at crossroads while waiting for the BG que. It wasn't as many as before 1.5 but they were still there.

For some reason... I don't see that being much different here. Maybe not crossroads, but semi-organized WPvP.. I see that happening.

Most of the old world pvp was done because of lack of battlemasters in cities.
I dont know if they exist on this server tho.

PvP on PvE servers is people who genuinely like to PvP on an even playing field for the love of the game.
PvP on PvP servers is people who genuinely like to gank level 30s at max level.

Inb4 I'm called a care bear and don't lose sleep over it

Well, I for one am going to flag for PvP more often than naught. I like the idea of suspenseful leveling in those "hot-zones", it makes you feel more alive in the game I suppose.

I do believe the PvP on the PvE server will thrive greatly, since in both ends of the PvP spectrum outside of BGs, players are left with a choice (the pvp flag), so if you wish to participate in WPvP, you will, if you do not, you shall not. That simple choice in the game changes a lot of things.
Exception error messages in a nutshell:
Code: Select all
$result = mysql_query("SELECT `finger` FROM `hand` WHERE id=3");
echo $result;

These posts gave me an idea. Why not create new battlegrounds? Let's say somewhere in azshara two teams of horde and alliance meet up and fight in a all new battleground mode.

CHASE THE BEAR!

Two teams of 10 players each, excluding 1 druid each (the teams could be made smaller if needed or bigger). The two teams line up like a rugby team sort of, both with their druid in bear form standing behind. The goal is to kill the other teams bear.

RULES:
- Strategic formation of the team is allowed.
-Hunters may only put hunter's mark on enemy bear and before the battle begins.
-All players in the battle must remain in the selected battle area.
-The team that kills the enemy bear first wins.

Other than that it's free for all, meaning pots, food, spells, etc.

This is just a thought that came to me while I read those posts.

ORGANIZED (so no, not putting in Un'Goro or Tanaris/Gadzetan, etc)
2004 pvp was always the most hot at:

Tarren Mill vs Southshore *** This was the big 'un

Redridge

Crossroads (iffy)

Darkshire

STV

Entrance to Black Rock Mountain
REDBEARD the DWARF
