<Alt> selfcast key

the tips on loading screen indicate that this feature should be implemented, however if i'm targeting a friendly player or npc and press alt in conjunction with a heal or buff, if does not self cast. instead id casts as if i were not holding alt at all.

is something wrong on my end or is it yours?

Alt is not a selfcast key by itself at all. It's just that default keybinds have a "cast <this> from main action bar on yourself" functionality, and it's set to alt+nuimber combinations. Check keybinds in menu, it's like:

Action button 1 - 1
Action button 2 - 2
Action button 3 - 3
etc...

Self cast action button 1 - alt+1
Self cast action button 2 - alt+2
etc.

So if you don't touch default settings you have selfcasting available on the main action bar, but that's about it. You can't bind E to a buff and expect alt+E to self buff you automatically. Need to set up macros for that.

okay thats actually very helpfull.... i have only ever played BC before this and by then they definately had the option to keybind one single button to do all selfcasting
