Don't be an idiot on the internet. Don't be gullible. Keep your Firewall up, have a malware scanner running in the background and keep your anti virus up to date.
I have been hacked, my social media account and my email were taken over. My computer infected with a virus that erased everything, turned every *.exe file into a copy of itself. Both times, I was being an idiot. I was clicking on links and downloading files from unverified and unsecured sources.
