Question about friend giving gold

Hey guys, so my buddy got his epic mount and bought a bunch of enchants and wants to give me a few hundred gold as he has some in excess, Is there any chance this will be seen as a RWT and result in any issues? We are irl friends and in game friends and we have both been in the same guild in the past (although not at this moment).

Anyways, let me know what you guys think.

Hi, yes it may temporarily get your account permanently banned for gold trafficking, and you may need to post a ban appeal to get it lifted. The nostalrius system for tracking gold buyers and sellers is notoriously bad, and I myself has had my account permantently banned, only for it to be reviewed and overturned.

But that shouldn't stop you from trading gold, so go for it!

is there anyway to get mods in on this trade so they dont ban us? i feel like it would waste a lot of time (on their end and ours)

Just in case, gather some evidence of the trade, so you have something to show for, when/if you have to appeal! JUST IN CASE! YAH KNOW?!

If your friend has somehow bought the gold, iam not sure if you have any chance on getting an uplift?

I know for a FACT that he didn't/doesn't buy gold, thats not what im worried about... I just don't want to waste anyones time :p.

I know most ppl back in retail would just post a worthless item on ah for crazy amount of gold to transfer gold back and forth between chars so they wouldn't be flagged as a buyer or seller... but then I guess the sellers caught on and started doing this too... some times I wonder still when on retail and see a 1g white vendor ring on ah for 56000g if that is still whats going on lol

You could just stick a low lvl green on the ah for and get him to buy it for the amount he is going to give you.
