Multiple players on one IP?

by Klown » Fri Jan 15, 2016 4:05 pm

Hey, so just starting again.....had a question if there was anything concerning an IP block where two computers cant log in on same IP and play together. I know in P99, there is a block but just need permission, curious if i had to do the same so me and a fellow co-worker can play at same time or if i dont even have to worry about it. Thanks!

You can have two people logged on the same IP without any special permissions or preparation. There are rules about multiboxing which, since you will have two people logged on from the same IP, you MAY trigger a false positive on. Cases of multiboxing are handled on an individual basis, though, so as long as you actually are two people playing from the same IP (and not one person playing two clients) you should have no problem.

Players from same Ip address are allowed, but it is strongly recommended you never use /follow.

If you get caught with your fellow player on /follow by a GM, and he indeed is AFK, you will risk a warning or a perma-ban for multiboxing.

My roommate and I both play on the PVP server, no issues. Just don't /follow and you'll be fine.
