Anyone who still has an active retail account to confirm how it works on retail? Trade scamming isn't rampant and I never felt like there was any huge delay. (If there is one, it sure has to be significantly shorter than it is here.)
Btw, I'm actually for having some measure to prevent the easiest to perform scams that are out there. "Never trade with a bank char" simply isn't a rule I'm going to follow. I value the hassle higher then the small risk of someone succeeding in pulling a fast one on me (If the trade was abnormally huge I might reconsider).
Am I correct in my assumption that for this particular scam, if the scammer was lucky and/or 'skilled' with the timing (unaccepting+removing item/gold+accepting again in the last tenths of a second before you accepted, faster than human reaction time, possibly adjusted for lag), there wasn't any defense?
