copying to TBC question

by ironskillet2 » Mon Jan 18, 2016 11:41 am

yes i know TBC wont be for a while. But i have a question regarding the copy process for our characters.

will we be copying the characters individually?

or will we copy an entire accounts characters?

Will we only be able to copy our characters once?

im hoping that its an entire account set of characters copy, and that we can only do once. I foresee people abusing individual copies to duplicate gold. same with multiple copies.

Pretty sure it's a full transfer since it goes to a completely different client.

No one knows, but hopefully it is an individual player copy and at a time of our choosing. It would be silly having to level sub 60 toons on both the vanilla AND the TBC server if you want to enjoy the class on each server.

In regards to gold abuse, the way I recommend doing it is whatever gold you move to TBC, it gets subtracted from Vanilla.

Actually, these are good questions which we should get an answer sooner rather than later - it may change how we invest our time here (i.e., not farting around with low level toons).

Edit: I might be happy with a free bump to 58 on the TBC server for any under-leveled Vanilla toons.

yes its exactly why id like an answer to these question.

im investing a lot of time leveling multiple toons (for professions) and if i will not be able to utilize them on the TBC server ill be highly disappointed
