Right now the PvP server population is down to only about 6.6K players. My guess is that a whole bunch of people logged on, found that they could no longer chat ingame using ideograms, and got ticked off and quit the server.
Whether this was the intention of the devs when they disabled non-Roman-alphabet characters in the game, or not, it's having the effect of substantially reducing the server's population.
PvPers, how are the communcation issues you've been complaining about?
