Just like everything in WoW Vanilla, it will take time. It took me a while too to get good Pre Raid BiS. Just focus on a few key pieces like trinkets, weapons and you should already be fine in ZG and MC!

trust me i'm a prot war i know the struggle, you gotta find a group of friends for that Pre-raid BIS bullshit. I just dinged 60 and my hommie got 59 today now i just want A lock a mage and a rogue to Farm pre-raid BIS with... but that's a dream that will never happen because ally lacks theses classes.

Alliance don't lack any classes at all to be honest, you just have to get the proper people and not the complete monkeys, thats all.

Group with guildies. And that's just the nature of wow. Sometimes you don't get loot when you run dungeons.

42 BRD runs for Force of Will to drop. 37 runs in DM east for hit bow. 18 hours, yeah don't sweat that.

If you would be even half way to pre-raid in 18 hours, I'd be jealous. At least the majority of yours comes from instances. When I was proc, most of mine BiS was BoE. Think a pug passes on that? Nope.

So stick with Forcerius advice, still with guildies. The relationships you will build in those will surpass thump any future raid/guild drama when it shows up from time to time. Also it lets you get a feel for your guildies of who is good/needs advice, and they won't ninja... or at least shouldn't.
