Skinning good for gold on first account?

by ikehype » Sat Mar 19, 2016 10:25 pm

Hey guys, I am rerolling to alliance after getting my proffesions high on a level 20 orc warrior  .

I had herba and alchemy which is good imo but as I have no gold on alliance side, is skinning and herba profitable? Can i sell the leather for a good amount or should I stick to alchemy?

Thanks :D

Well, on the horde side at least; a stack of thick leather or rugged leather = 1.2g. You can make money with Devilsaur Leather but GL tagging one! Black Dragonscale and Primal Bat Leather sell good too but they're from LBRS/UBRS and ZG so not really easily farmable.

It's the easiest profession to level up because you gain xp by killing the beast and you get mats, whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Awesome, isn't it?

You be the judge.

Skinning and herb is really good money, not so much in the lower levels but once you get higher it will bring in the cash.

You can also make pretty decent money farming certain fish.

I always take skinning on characters I'm levelling and usually vendor everything under Heavy or Thick. It adds up pretty quickly and gives you a huge boost toward getting your mount.
