Can i heal NPCs?

Same question of the title, can i heal npcs like guards, escort quests, barrens dwarves, ashenvale sentinels or it' against the rules? I haven't find answer on the terms of usee...

You were allowed in retail, you are allowed here... I do it all the time in stonetalon and watch the horde die... on PVE realm no less
