Nostalrius & Megaupload - Opening the server on New Zealand?

As you might know, some years ago Kim Dotcom, creator of Megaupload was jailed because of that site. After many years he reopened it in New Zealand and so far has not had any problem.

So why not opening Nostalrius on New Zealand? Would it be enough to not be reachable by the law?

secondly, Kim was forced out of the company board because... "business"
