I'd rather spend my life doing what I love rather than going to some gym to get ripped only to lose that fitness with age, or improve my health to extend my life so that I can get cancer or hit by a bus and die anyways or live long enough to get the Alzheimer that runs in my family.
The way I see it in their minds most people live in a large city filled with skyscraper unable to see past the building they are surrounded by, they are short sighted and blind so they just unthinkingly follow whatever they can see nearby, but my mind is a bird, soaring above everything able to see far past those buildings and into the distance, enlightened, and what I see is how pointless existence is. Why put so much effort into all this stuff you will lose with age or lose with death making your life wasted? Play WoW and enjoy what you have, read, drink, fuck, do drugs, break laws, experience both pleasure and pain until you are numb to both, and do whatever else you enjoy until you're numb. There's no afterlife, no gods, and existence will eventually be destroyed when our universe collapses, and before that the earth will be destroyed by our sun, and that will happen far after humanity goes extinct and everything we built and recorded turn to dust, which will happen a long time after any of us living now die. Nothing we can do to change all this, so best to accept it.
Though after this I won't be touching anything Activision-Blizzard makes from now on. Fuck them absolutely. I'll go play on another private server after this one is gone, but this time while I play on the private server Acti-Blizz won't be getting any money from me, and none from me ever again. This was a huge financial mistake for them, because they were still making money before from people playing on private servers, but now so many people are pissed and boycotting them they'll be losing that money people were spending on HS, HOTS, WoW and would have spent on Overwatch, as well as the Activision titles. Though Blizz is a horribly incompetent corporation and that's why WoW is in such bad shape right now anyways.
So you assume. Do you have proof that God is unaware? Or that you'll cease to exist after you die instead of being judged for what you did? You're just guessing. Call it pascals wager if you want, or say the same about me, but I disagree based on what I know, and that doesn't null the fact.
But if the universe exists for no reason, and we cease to exist at death, then you're right about playing wow or being a criminal, because it makes no difference since your life is a meaningless waste of time. And Atheists wonder why they go to hell for what they teach? And if you believe that, then why don't you kill yourself and get to the point? Why not skip the party instead of delaying the inevitable for pointless pain and entertainment? I don't suggest you do, but I thought the same thing when I was an Atheist. Thank God I looked in the mirror and realized that your "mindless god of chaotic matter" could never create a human body, even if it had trillions of years. The systems in our body are logical and harmonious with nature, something that requires a mind or awareness to produce because chaos can't think logically.
But i'm not sure if you want to have that debate, or even if I care to after this reply. Otherwise I generally agree with the rest of what you said about Blizzard / Activision. And there's reasons for their decision that we can't see like how a vanilla server affects the value and perception of live. Or how much loss versus profit they'll actually accumulate.
