How to avoid be banned for gold traffic for legit trade?.

by Vedeta » Tue Dec 22, 2015 4:16 am

So i want to know if i will be banned for trading gold with RL friends.
Iam asking this because se usually trade items and sometimes gold when someone is in need.

But today i saw my 2 Guild mates (they are brother) been banned for this because one of them traded gold to help other with 40 mount.

So its safe to trade ir should i call GM before the transaction?

One of them probably bought the gold to trade to the other and they both got banned. Lol...
The level of whining about bans on the forums is at an all time industrial level.

Well that can be possible, i will not put my hands on the fire for them, dont know them in RL. But my question, is possible be banned for trading gold that wasnt assossiated to any gold sellers or that wasnt brought. My friends are able to loan me some gold for the epic mount, but with so many GT triggers, we dont know if it safe to do it.

I guess if both chars are logged on the same IP there will be no risk at all.

But that's probably not what you were looking for, what was the amount that got traded? more than 100g? and was it via trade or mail?

I do wonder though, if my friend decides to join in this game and I trade like 50g to a new lvl 6 player on a new account, will it trigger the ban or what

a lvl 6 player doesn't need 50g anyways so why the risk? :D
spend the 50g on 4x 16slot bags and give the rest which will be ~ 10g directly to your friend and it will surely not trigger it and your friend will have more than enough gold until he hit lvl 40 for sure^^

I have made several loans to guild friends in the 1000g range, with no problems.

I lent 1000g to a friend a while ago, I didn't get banned. I have faith in Nostalrius GMs when it comes to bans for gold traffic

same, did quite a few loans of 1k+ gold and didnt get banned, i m starting to think that all of those guys who claim to be banned for trading 1 copper from THEIR BROTHER etcetc are bullshit, otherwise i cant find an explanation...if the gold is LEGIT there wont be a ban, easy as that.
