Free enchant scam?

by abcnyman1 » Mon Feb 08, 2016 2:49 am

Hey, I'm fairly new to Nostalrius. I was playing my Dwarf Priest, and did the quest where you have to heal Mountaineer Dolf. I finished it and got a new robe. All of the sudden some dude, can't remember his name, came out of no where. He asked me if I wanted a free enchant to my robe. I said sure. He initiated trade and said "Not quite sure how to do it through trade", "Do you put your robe in trade and I enchant it?" I said "I have no clue" He then said "Try and put it in". I then disconnected myself from the game as I wasn't sure what to do at that point. Not sure if this guy was actually legit and I'm just too paranoid, or if this guy was planning on stealing my robe. The fact he was asking me to put the robe in trade like that seems awfully suspicious. Thanks for the feedback in advance :).

Lots of people give out free enchants for the sole purpose of raising their enchanting skill. The other posts have already described how you do it.

Quest rewards are Bind On Pickup so can't be traded anyway.
