How much is Parrot Cage (Hyacinth Macaw) really worth?

I have no idea how much this pet is worth. i know its drop chance is like 1/10000 and ive never been able to get it to drop on retail. how much is it exactly worth on the pvp server? there are none listed on the horde AH and some guy tried to buy it for 10g and then went to 15g because i wasn't sure.

Im level 44 and im still trying to save up for a mount so if anyone could give me an approx. estimate on the price that would be really beneficial.

The server is in progression, most people save their gold for consummable or pre bis... I dont think someone would pay more than 20g for this parrot even if the dropchance is extremly low

Let me just tell you that i sold one of those mini dragon pets for 120 gold a few weeks ago, so i guess there always is a market aslong as 1 person is willing to buy.

It is one of the hardest pets to farm, and in the old days would go for 1000-5000g if I recall correctly. I could be wrong on that though and it no doubt changed throughout the course of vanilla. I have no idea the market in this game but I would try for at least 1000 and reduce the price every few days.

Those posts are not time-stamped but gives you an idea, some say it is or was the rarest drop in the game. It may be no rarer than any other world BoE epic, although it only drops from the pirates near BB.

First of all DO NOT listen to these idiotic neckbeards telling you "private server bro, progression or die bro". They are providing you the stupidest advice ever given on these forums.

This is a server of over 10,000 people! That is more than any server from retail wow. The majority of those 10,000 will never touch any meaningful progression. Which means you still have thousands of players still playing for whatever random fun just like in vanilla.

Put the starting bid at 1k with a 3k buyout. I would do this for atleast a couple weeks. You will get a buyer. This is a nostalgia server not a douchebag bro server. Some rich farmer who remembers what that pet meant will drop a fortune on it, trust me.
