Anyone else having trouble letting go?

by Ghostly » Sun Apr 10, 2016 11:23 pm

Alright, so when the servers were about to get down today, I've made the mistake of going to Durotar. I got DC'd and then the game kept disconnecting every time I tried to log in, so when the PvP server died, I was still in queue.

I heard that PvE was still hanging on though, so I quickly made a level 1 there just in time to see the final countdown tick down to zero. The server has clearly disconnected, but I was not kicked out of game. There were no NPCs and I couldn't use any abilities, of course, but I was still in the world.

So I decided to go to Hyjal for my last time on Nostalrius. Turns out you don't even need a mount to make the jump behind the pillar.

It's been more than an hour and the game still didn't disconnect me. Guess it won't change even if I disable my internet. And since I'm effectively not online it shouldn't throw me out due to being AFK either. I think I'm just going to minimize my settings and hide the window.
I am not letting go just yet, not until the game crashes or my power goes out.

We have shared something wonderful and lost it together. We all are family now, ally and horde, no matter what you play. We are all mourning together. It's okay to be sad together.

Damn. I've only played to level 32 and I'm sad; I can only imagine how bad it is for those that have been here from the start. *hats off*
