Mount at 40 possible?

i managed to get mine by 41 without doing any bit of mob farming or AH playing, i literally just quested and vendored everything useless, didn't use gathering professions for selling either. could've easily gotten it by 40 if i used gathering professions or didn't over-level my blacksmithing for my current level.

as has pretty much already been said, the only things you can really do is to train as few skills as you possibly can (i trained maybe ~5 skills from 30-40) and put your profession leveling on hold when you reach lvl ~30-35. you're already 36 so it may be too late to get it at exactly 40, but even if you don't get it by then, i'd still recommend that you just continue questing and get your mind off the mount until you reach 100g. the quests and mobs at 40 give such good rewards that grinding for the mount seems pointless.

What I did was make a second account for the auction house. I mail everything to my bank account, and I scan the auction house every hour on my second client open. When I get the mail from my guy leveling up I post on the auction house...

Also, during flight or auto run I tab over to the bank alt and look up hot items...
I search only epics and see if any low buyouts...
Search for twink items like shadowfang and assassin's blade, feet of the lynx...
I mail all the cloth I pick up and AH that as well.

If not for helping my friend get his tailoring up with all the silk cloth from 35 to 40, I would have been 50g clear of my mount at 40.

You need to read the rules again

What is allowed is:

- Being online on two accounts in the same city, for trading/enchanting purposes.

Not allowed:

Levling, while searching the A.H is not allowed, because you are not allowed to communicate with the world in two accounts, searching the AH and levling is "communicating with the world"W

Gotcha, sounds good. Well based on other people receiving 2 warnings of this first, and how a GM has recognized both my accounts before without mention I'll use this as a warning for myself, thanks.

I still believe in the bank alt thing though. To mail everything, then log over to the bank alt to post everything. Best of luck
