OP, on behalf of the community, I would like to apologize for the verbal abuse that was directed at you. Indeed, it was a very reasonable request on your part to solicit 50g from the community. Players here are already adorned with epics and swimming in gold. The community expectation should be that they donate a small portion of their wealth to the less fortunate, especially those with aspirations of being a high-end raid tank.

Alas, perhaps your best approach may be to direct your funding requests to high-end raiding guild GMs. They often have down-time between boss pulls so that may be the best time to make such pleas.
