It's pretty irritating to get ganked by some mouthbreather level 60 repeatedly when you only get to play a few hours a week.

Roll on a PvE server if you are very limited in your time to play every week and hate being ganked so much, and if you don't mind NO random PvP in some 'hot spots' in the world, like outside of neutral cities (at flight points, entrances to towns), at dungeon entrances, etc.

I personally enjoy seeing random enemy players at these spots and joining in the action to spice up the game, not just PvE, PvE and only PvE, which would be very boring and too one-track for me. I like to balance PvE with PvP and, yes, RANDOM, unexpected PvP means a lot to me. BG's are expected and it is just not the same feeling to me.

This has nothing to do with ganking low level players. I prefer fighting people around my level for some good competition. The level 60s just ganking level 30s in STV, I never get that unless they're paying them back for the 60s who ganked them on their alt just before. For those who think it's just for fun? They have mental issues. lol

Even though your intention here might be sarcasm, there are a lot of players on the PvP server who actually think like that. And I'm very happy to avoid these kinds of players by playing on the PvE server.

The only drag about the PvP server is that at the peak hours 12k players online will push the hardware too far and everybody playing will lag, so that is dependent on your timezone or your schedule, however peak times last a considerably short stretch of time, 3 hours or so. Being a player from NA I have only been on at the last few minutes of the peak hours, when I log on the amount ranges from 6.5k to an occasional 9k and a rare 10-11k depending on when I log on.

TL;DR I am from NA and don't lag as much, i get a steady 150 ping.

There really isn't much wrong about the PvE server except that it is ~8 months behind the PvP in terms of dungeon releases etc, PvP will get AQ first, far before the other server gets it.

Anyways, it's personal preference. Do what you want.

if you enjoy more interactions and dueling then PvP is for you.

If you enjoy moderately higher queue times for pre-60 bg's and having it be slightly harder to find quest groups pre-60 then PvE is for you.

Oh, I did. You have always sounded like a level-headed person and I actually thought you were a hot grill.

I was just poking fun at some other elements of the PvP community.

Correction: It will be 6 months behind with AQ release because AQ was delayed on the PvP server ;).
To me personally, this is actually an advantage of the PvE server because new content is potentially less buggy when released. But like you said, it's just personal preference.
