What a joke. I played vanilla. Most people who played at that time didn't know what they were doing and accomplished little more than killing a few bosses in MC PUG runs and rank 10. Neither of those things took any skill other than being social enough for the community to tolerate you in their raid/pre-made.

Heh. I read only the OP and, although I'm a Cata baby, I have to agree there's some diff between people who understand the concept of "challenging" and people who don't. I've had my toon get killed by fighting mates who expected to leeroy same-level caster mobs the way they would in WoD, and survive. But please let's permit us johnny-come-latelies to learn to play a proper MMO properly. Nostalrius exists exactly because people like me weren't happy with the facerolls of retail, and it takes us time to learn how to do non-faceroll.
