Well, does it really die that badly? Outlands are small, world pvp objectives exist, and besides, there will be a quite sized population. I indeed didnt play tbc a lot..so i cant judge that well, there is no way to gank the roads to pve instances etc?

Hell, why doesnt some kind of vote happen, if people would rather keep flying mounts or not..

Anyway, how else does flying mounts damage world pvp?

I'm just kinda pretending that wow started over. I'll be going through the game/xpacs as they are released... just like I did 10 years ago...

Flying mounts is undoubtedly a wpvp killer.
I think the TBC hype will be massive once a properly scripted TBC server is ready. The PvP system isn't a mindless grind like in vanilla and some of the raids can be challenging while still keeping most of the vanilla feeling.

World PvP is great in TBC during leveling and there's the Isle in the Sunwell patch, but overall, I wouldn't be too hopeful if I was into world PvP.

As for myself, I'm a vanilla guy, so not planning to play on any TBC server.
Greatness, at any cost.

Corecraft is going to suck. I'd compare it to Kronos.

You can't have BC and a full vanilla version of the game that a dev team hasn't touched or debugged.

Corecraft is gonna start you off at 58 plus they not even gonna fuck with the vanilla content they're just gonna leave it broken and only script outlands.

I'll be playing on nost tbc, maybe my grand kids will get to see corecraft launch lol.

TBC has best of both worlds. all the vanilla raids and TBC raids with access to pallies/shamans on both sides.
if anything, TBC has the most things to do PVE wise. :)

Also revamped pvp system and generally all classes are more balanced ( druids/pallys are not only good for healing or warriors good only for tanking). Corecraft is supposed to launch in march but i have my doubts about that. I guess we just have to see.

Well, its inevitable that most people really want to get gear, and since im leading a world-pvp guild, we will either have to get ourselves thrown into honor-grinding in bgs or pve stuff, so through our main action, we get no gain in power.

Although i truly dont mind having an army full of green-geared bloodthirsty orcs on my side, many people still appreciate gear. And the fear for DHKs in vanilla disturbs me as well on city invasions and such, as many of my comrades just gotta rank up to get at least some blues and the game turns against us at this point.

I think in tbc i wont have such issues, as earning gear is relatively less grindy, right? You can go to a bg and farm currency that wont go down because you dont focus on it, unlike vanilla where you soon start to get in danger of deranking, whereas for playing less it becomes impossible to earn stronger pvp gear. Whereas in tbc i think even a casual player can get the at-least proper pvp gear from battlegrounds, right?

Right now im having people passing on world pvp events cause "gotta farm some good honor this week" or leaving for PvE guilds cause they want proper gear.

Alright, enough rant, i wanted to ask, do you think the majority of vanilla players will copy their characters and mainly play in tbc, or do you think that vanilla nostalrius will end up still having a higher population?

Obviously you didn't play during BC? World PvP dies there.

clear to see you obviously didn't play tbc...causeworld pvp most certainly did not die in bc ... Hellfire was a warzone along with the entire area surround Auch ... but mostly hellfire ... was brutal trying to get any quest done there ... hell even in current retail if you try to quest there atleast on malganis server you will get killed ...ALOT

Marcusius wrote:Here for classic, if i'd want TBC, i'd go to Excalibur WoW. Besides Corecraft will release at some point ( or will it >:D )aswell, so yeah. People came here for classic, some may ofc be into TBC, but there will always be new people coming and old ones leaving. It's not like the population is bloody static, so there's your answer.

lol you silly .. 1 . Excalibur is a p2w server so that's a big no
and 2. which is prolly the funniest thing I have ever seen posted on any of these forums .. Corecraft will be released at some point? in all honesty I doubt that very seriously Nost tbc server is over a year away and it will be released before CC could ever hope to be .. not to mention releases late march or early april ...and is aiming to be 100% blizzlike no p2w start of at lvl 58 if remembering correctly .. by the time CC could even consider releasing there would be no player base for them ... face it CC IS DEAD!
