I don't understand how can you play such a game that demands a lot of time when you can lose everything from the night to the morning, honestly.

Do not come saying that vanilla is about the community not the characters, because that is the falsest statement i've ever heard. Vanilla is something special because of the progress of your character and the long journey it takes with your friends, if you can't save that what is the point of playing again.

Well if database is saved it can then be rehosted somewhere else. Its not like your Nostalrius character is gone now, its just you have no access to it because server stopped being hosted.

If you don't care about your account and invested time why don't you go to kronos to leave another couple years of your life for nothing instead whinning for legacy servers hoping that blizzard ever releases any for you?

you guys are hilarious, i don't whine for my characters anymore, i just post that investing time in something yu can lose any day is a waste of time. Matter of opinion. FUck you

American law states, that if you don't defend your IP against someone, someone else can later "rightfully" steal it because you didn't defend it in earlier cases.

Because Nostalrius was growing so large they had to shut it down to protect their own IP for the future.
I wouldn't say it was something they did out of pride or arrogance. I guess it was just a pure legal issue for them.

What i am just saying is regarding to the op, if blizzard doesn't host legacy servers, nostalrius has been beaten.
