Bought 50 for 18-20g a pop yesterday. So prices didn't drop too bad.

Even if something had happened, it would be good for the server.
The market in its current state is broken and unblizzlike, there is a huge deficit of materials which is apparent by the inflated AH prices, created by 8 months of dev inactivity.
An influx like this is actually greatly beneficial to the market.

In this case I fully support the ban first, investigate later approach because halting the spread of the bugged resources would be a very, very high prio.

Setups case seems really straightforward to reverse after a short investigation (if his story is true, ofc.) 3 stacks from a single node with a ticket open and no attempt to profit but instead deleting the items promptly. Sure 3 stacks isn't nothing, but the actions surrounding it shows more curiosity and investigation rather than exploitation for gain. And the GMs should be able to reach that conclution too.

In fact anyone who only looted something like a half to a few stacks only to conclude that it was super bugged, and then took no action to capitalize on the situation (farm tons of stacks/mailing herbs away/trying to unload on the AH or tradechat) should get unbanned in the end here.

However if you were stupid enough to think that this was intended and farmed a bunch and mailed it away to other chars. Tough luck. There is no way to differentiate between you and someone who intended to profit from the bug. If you did that I'd expect your account to stay permanently banned. Unlike the Silithus situation, any reasonable person would ID this as an obvious bug within minutes.
Pristine realms... Industrial levels of stupidity.

Hi,

150 accounts have been banned for exploits related to this respawn bug: our policy regarding bug exploitations is very strict, as stated in our terms of use.

However, some cases may be manually reviewed, only if ALL of the following conditions are met:
Code: Select all
1- No exploitation has been done after 15:12 server time (time of the system announcement)
2- All the exploited items must have been removed
3- None of the items may have been traded, sold or exchanged. It includes using secondary characters as banks, trading item in the auction house, mailing the items, etc ...
4- The appeal must have been posted before the 1st January 2016

If you meet all these conditions, please mention it on a ban appeal topic on the "Account Issues" forum (or edit the existing one).
https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewforum.php?f=65
Make sure you join all the details on the exploit you did, including where it was, when you started, when you ended, when you deleted the items, etc ... If you have any video element, include it aswell.
You should also mention how you tried to raise the staff awareness about this issue (GM ticket, forum post, ...).

If all the conditions 1-4 are met, all these additional elements will be taken into account during the manual ban review process, that may take several weeks depending on the number of appeals we receive. You will then be informed of the result of this review process.

Regards,
Daemon.
