No one that played since server launch and has 40+mc/ony clears can tell me with a straight face that they want to go back to 2-3 hour mcs FOR ANOTHER x amount of months until BWL and then farm MC AND BWL for another x amount of months until aq40. Also on top of that the 130 r14s I doubt any want to do that again or the... wait for it... 312 r13s.

Again this bullshit misconception about how it is such a hard achievement to get raid gear and the opinions of people with "decked" mains matters more when in fact it is ridiculously easy to gear up and you having 40 days played most of which is afk on Orgrimmar bank roof is a joke. And I don't mean to turn this into a no-life off because I'm sure members of dreamstate or nope can sweep in and kick my ass in that regard but the amount of casuals commenting and citing their epic t2 or t1 is disgusting. Congrats you farmed ubrs and strat for a few days then did mc 2 hrs a week for 3 months then did mc and bwl 5 hrs a week for 5 months.

I am completely for them opening up more fresh servers but why not keep the ones that cemented nostalrius' reputation initially. Don't tell me it will lower the population and divide the community in ways that are unplayable because people don't realize just how massive Nostalrius was. They could divide their pvp servers population in half and still be far greater than any other vanilla private server except maybe kronos 2(which is only so big because of Nostalrius closing)

I can't see how anybody could be against the return of the two old servers with the addition of a new server. The hype created in the past couple of weeks has actually brought my guild back together. We have 40+ of our core guild back chatting, reminiscing and getting excited for whatever happens after blizzcon. I can only assume that other upper tier raiding guilds from the PvP server wish to jump back into the old server.

I completely understand the need for a new server and I support that idea. I do not understand however how newer players can be against the return of the old servers. There are plenty of raiders from Nostalrius who have level 60s on Kronos/Elysium and would probably not want to relevel an entire new character just to have to raid MC/BWL/ZG/ONY for another year and a half.

Even if only half the players from the PvP server returned if the servers were brought back, it would still be way overpopulated.

I had a warlock lvl 58 and i was going to play all next day to level up lvl 60. The next day i woke up and saw a post about closing the server. FeelsBadMan
The first time i started playing on Nostalrius I felt like I was missing something and I finally found it. Also tried many servers like "warmane", "playtbc"(hahaha ), "kronos" after nost was closed.... naah, it wasn't even close to nostalrius
I like leveling, but the most fun part is the endgame content. I'd like to continue playing my character, cause i've spent so much time and right now i don't have it to level up again, there are only two ways for me:
1) If Nost will be re-released with old-database - I'll come back
or
2) if Nost will be re-relesed with a fresh new base - i'll have to try to write a leveling-bot with my programming skills (so nost staff won't find me cheating ) or i'll get instant permanent ban
...
P.S. I don't think Nostalrius will be reborn. Rip April 2016

I was kind of interested when the possibility of the server being rebooted came up, however i know for a fact that multiple guilds who have since found new servers will not be returning if characters are not restored, which is completely understandable given the cumulative thousands of hours invested which would be erased by this one decision... if people are complaining about bad decisions they made close to the end of the server, at the most roll it back 1 month, anything other is kind of just an insult to every player who called this place home.

I got my last piece of BiS on 4/6/2016 around of 05:15 server time (Band of Accuria). Log off. Go to work, come home (Birthday on the 7th, about to do an all nighter took the Birthday off from work) to the "Good News".

So I hope the file is from right before they put up the announcement and not just the start of day, or even a MONTH. GG people will rage on that.

They pushed the daily backup till closer to 07:00 server or 08:00 server (per request of late night NA raiders), so there was one after our raids on the 6th.
