Fresh start vs old characters (come in)

The fun of the game is the way you obtain the gear, the gold, the consumables etc.

Who's to say this sever wont go down again, in a year, a month, a few weeks?

the statement being made by deleting an entire server's worth of content and saved data would be that any time invested here is a complete waste and would be better spent litterally anywhere else.

Exactly my thoughts, the big reason (not the only one but a big one) people keep interest for this server is due to the fact we were told database was stored and is not lost. There are more reasons why people stick around eg. these forums being a ground for pro-Legacy movement and hub for various private scene news but a big chunk of people are here due to the first one. There will be no guarantees that the new server will last forever... thats a given... so its only smart to move forward from the place that we were robbed off by blizzard. To continue...

This is not to deny fresh server at all... Sure i'd vote for a secondary server if demand is in place after some time but first action (if thats even sort of action that is planned) should be to put the King back on his throne, for me thats old Nostalrius, from the day before we had announcement.

Some people say it would be impossible for them to go back to their old char after all this time etc... well thats your choice people, but technically there is no obstacle for you to just login on your old char... check your bags, check your bank, open your friendlist and... just get back into it.

I got 5 t2+ geared character and a shit ton of goldz + both bindings and i don't care if they doing a fresh start or not! TBH I prefare if they doing a fresh start cause it will fix some dire maul china farm hunter problems. But our mainproblems is still the china population cause they triggering alot lags cause they are TOO MANY?

Just to expand on my point of view... I'm not against a fresh server... I'm just against destroying past database, let it be back and if fresh server prove to KILL the old one then its all natural this way... but I got a feeling old server would live as many people are more interested in vanilla end game that they had no chance to experience in the past, namely AQ40 and naxx. Just as PvE server proved... its existence was not a threat to PvP server whatsoever.

For fresh start just new server PvP or PvE with fresh start for new people. don't fresh start for the old characters....

Fresh Start. a lot of us got a free pass, how we were able to level 1 to 60 with fractions of the amount of players as there was at the end. Do we really want to disappoint all the new folks who heard about Nost through the pipelines by having 60's camp them? I feel the server has been shut down for long enough to where a very large chunk of the newbs will be saying "how the fuck are there BWL geared 60's already? this sucks".

If there would be 2 pvp servers, then that would change everything.

That is, IF it reopens.

the server was open for over a year, just because you never got to raid bwl doesnt mean that over two hundered thousands accounts should be deleted, take your frustrations elsewhere.
