I agree with you, jumping back into where we left off months ago will ruin the experience.

i would give up my characters to experience a new beginning, it is rare when everything is set to motion from scratch

Dude, alliance get ganked at DM West constantly due to horde queues. It'd been the same thing for the many months I spent farming there. Why the fuck would I whisper some random guy out of a billion, let alone have a filthy horde toon on my account

We don't have guilds, 90% of us lost connections with the members from our guilds, so it's idiotic to think that IF Nostalrius would fire up the server in the same state, suddenly we'll all pop back and resume our work. It's not gonna happen, gonna be chaos. I have 4 lvl 60s on Nostalrius, yet I want a fresh server.

You think you do but you dont.

I dont understand where these people get the nerve to demand 200k accounts be deleted for their own personal gain... you have literally zero say in this stop placing demands and just see what happens, and whether it may or may not relaunch... its clear the vast majority would prefer their characters back purely from reading this thread... and yet still you demand.

P.S This thread should be locked, its more then served its purpose and will just devolve into arguing.

I had many 60 stuffed characters before the new start, i still had a 60 on the new Nostalrius and i am still willing to have a new start.

With all the advertisement Nostalrius had within the couple past months, many new players will come and will want to enjoy the journey like you did when you were yourself a new player. Why can't we restart one more time and enjoy all together with a bigger community?

Because if they restarded twice who says there won't be a third? No ty, there is no way we can trust them if they do such thing again, i played here because i thought the effort i invest would last forever. Obviously seems like i was wrong but hey, if they wipe the old data again, FUCK THEM , im not willing to repeat the same process again (took 45 days played) to get my progress burnt out again

Lol @ thinking anything on a private realm will be here forever

No reason to assume your characters would be permanent, no private server lasts forever. That being said, Nostalrius has the ability to restore the old characters, if they choose not to restore them, that would be very disappointing. They already said that they could release the database (back at shutdown), which most likely includes the characters. I did not have days invested on my characters, but Nostalrius, if you're planning a relaunch, please don't screw over the thousands of old players that invested a significant portion of their time into their characters. If you have the ability to return the database, there shouldn't be any reason not to get our characters back.

Another thing to say about progression realms, to everyone saying "it wouldn't be fair if we got the characters back because it's be too hard to catch up". Do you think it'd be fair to wipe over 800k accounts just because you came a year late? I came 3 months before shutdown. Despite being an entire year behind, I didn't become jealous of everyone else because they started playing a year before I had.

Personally, I wouldn't be terribly upset if they decided to do a fresh start. But seriously Nost, if you're relaunching, think it over. If you still have the database, why wipe the 800k accounts that have supported your server since Day 1?
